Fast Start Fades Late Casey Morrison finished the half marathon in 1:30:20, placing 145th overall and 122nd among men in a field of 7,223. That trails his 2025 Boulderthon result of 1:25:36, a gap of roughly 4:44. Morrison opened aggressively, covering the first mile in 5:53 and holding pace in the low 6:20s through six mileshis strongest sustained stretch of the day. The middle miles gradually cooled before a sharp slowdown to 8:49 for mile 12, then a rebound to 6:56 over the final mile to the finish. The 2026 half course carries nearly 50% less elevation gain than before, down to 203 feet, with every distance finishing on Boulder's historic Pearl Street Mall.
