Steady Pacing Gives Way to a Strong Closing Kick Ian Tsukada finished the Half Marathon in 1:32:51, placing 179th overall and 147th among men out of the field of 7,223. He held a tight band of 6:527:19 miles through the middle portion of the race before surging over the final two miles, splitting 6:52 and 6:47 to close out the strongest stretch of his race. Tsukada passed through the lululemon Power-Up Zone around mile 9.5 in the midst of that consistent middle stretch, holding 7:007:19 pace through the section before dropping his fastest miles late. The race, like every Boulderthon distance, finished on the historic Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder.
