Strong Start Fades Into a Grinding Second Half Andrew Keadle finished the half marathon in 2:20:29, considerably slower than his 1:54:07 in the 2024 half marathon. Keadle's race told two different stories. Through the first seven miles, his pace held remarkably steady in the 9:239:41 per mile range, a strong and consistent effort. That stretch stood out as the highlight of his day, showing solid early rhythm. From mile 8 onward, his per-mile splits climbed sharply, cresting above 13:00 by mile 9 before settling into the 11:2012:52 range for the remainder of the course. That shift pushed his overall pace from roughly 9:30 through mile 7 to 10:43 by the finish. The race concluded on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, a fitting close to a day built on an early foundation that couldn't quite carry through to the end.
