Strong Early Pace Carries Solid Half Marathon Finish David Favrot finished the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon in 1:45:35, an 8:03 min/mile pace. Favrot's race was front-loaded: he covered the first 3 miles in 23:11, hitting a 7:33 pace on mile 3, his fastest mile of the race. He held sub-7:45 pace through mile 7, before easing into the 8:00-9:10 range over miles 8 through 11, with mile 11 marking his slowest stretch at 9:10. He rallied over the final two miles, closing with a 7:51 mile 13 to bring his overall elapsed pace back under 8:05. Given Boulder's elevation above 5,000 feet, that steady late push is a good building block for future races.
