Fast Start, Middle Fade, Strong Finish Oscar Negrete finished the half marathon in 2:57:41, an overall pace of 13:33 per mile. His race opened with real strength: the first five miles came in at 55:37, an 11:07 average, showing a controlled, well-paced opening third before things shifted. Miles six through ten proved the toughest stretch, with splits stretching from 14:30 to 18:24, including the mile passing near the lululemon Power-Up Zone around the 9.5-mile mark. From there, Negrete steadied himself, running his final three miles in 14:49, 13:15, and 12:36 his quickest mile of the back half. Racing at Boulder's elevation above 5,000 feet, his finish reflected a runner who weathered a rough middle patch and closed with intent.
