Sub-1:24 Half Cuts Nearly 90 Minutes Off Prior Boulderthon Finishes Kyle Ueyama crossed in 1:23:35, finishing 62nd overall and 52nd among men in a field of 7,223. That mark is a dramatic jump from his 2:53:19 debut and his 2:29:48 follow-up, shaving over an hour and six minutes off last year's result. His pace held remarkably steady across the distance, mostly in the 6:136:24 range, with only brief dips at miles 6, 8 and 11 before he closed strong, matching 6:21 splits over the final two miles. His fastest mile came right out of the gate at 6:11, setting the tone for a race run with little variance start to finish. Given his consistency, a slightly more even middle thirdsmoothing the mile 8 dipcould sharpen the overall pace further next time.
