Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Brance Burge #21359 Race: 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles

Steady Pacing Powers a Top-Four-Percent Half Marathon Finish Brance Burge crossed the line in 1:37:46, good for 288th overall and 235th among men in the field of 7,223 at the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon. That result places him in the race's top four percent overall a strong showing built on remarkably consistent pacing. After opening with a 7:47 first mile, Burge settled into a rhythm, finding his fastest mile of the race at mile 5 (7:01) before holding mid-7:00s pace through the back half and closing with a 7:22 final mile. That kind of control, sustained at Boulder's altitude of over a mile high, made for an evenly run race with no late fade.
