Strong Front Half Carries a Sub-1:32 Finish Logan Duhnkrack finished the half marathon in 1:31:35, placing 159th overall and 134th among men out of the field of 7,223. He built a steady base through the first eight miles, holding between 6:43 and 6:57 per mile and sitting under 55:00 at that point. A dip through mile 9 briefly loosened his overall pace to 7:00 per mile, before he closed with his fastest mile of the race, covering mile 13 in 6:33 to bring his final average back to 6:59 per mile. Running at altitude in a city sitting above 5,000 feet, Duhnkrack's ability to reassert pace late dropping his quickest split in the final mile after the mid-race lull stands out as the highlight of his race. Given the strength of his opening eight miles, a touch more evenness through the ninth mile could help sustain that early rhythm all the way to the Pearl Street Mall finish.
