Steady Pace Through the Middle Miles Powers a Strong Half Marathon Finish Olivia Busch finished the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon in 2:29:46, averaging 11:26 per mile across the 13.1-mile course. Busch's race held remarkably steady through the first five miles, hovering between 11:12 and 11:30 pace, before a tougher stretch from miles 6 to 8 pushed her split pace up to the 11:50-12:45 range. She responded well, rallying over the final five miles with her fastest mile of the race coming in mile 10 at 10:50, and closing with another strong mile of 10:48 to finish. That late surge, especially over the last 5K, made for a well-executed finish to a long half marathon in Boulder, a city sitting over 5,000 feet of elevation.
