Steady Pacing Carries Steiner to a Strong Half Finish Lance Steiner ran 1:52:39 over the half marathon's 13.1 miles, an 8:35 min/mile pace. It's a sharp turnaround from his 2024 Boulderthon marathon, where he covered 26.2 miles in 4:56:22 at an 11:18 min/mile pace a different distance, but a clear sign of quicker turnover this time out. Steiner's mile splits stayed remarkably tight through the race, hovering between 8:19 and 8:44 for the first ten miles, with mile six his fastest of the day at 8:19. That mile came right around Boulder's 5,000-plus feet of elevation, adding weight to the consistency. He passed near the lululemon Power-Up Zone around mile 9.5 still holding 8:30 pace, before easing slightly over the final miles to close out the race.
