Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Claudia Olivares #25813 Race: 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles

Even Effort, Strong Closing Miles Claudia Olivares completed the Half Marathon in 2:06:03, averaging 9:37 per mile. She opened briskly, covering the first two miles at a 9:06 pace, then eased through the middle miles, drifting to a 10:13 split by mile 8, before rallying over the final two miles to close in 9:15 and 9:20. Her fastest mile-plus stretch of the race came right out of the gatemiles 1 and 2 at 9:06 pacea tempo she wasn't quite able to sustain through the race's middle section but recaptured well by the finish. That finish came on the historic Pearl Street Mall, more than 5,000 feet above sea level, a fitting downtown Boulder capstone to a race that ended stronger than its midpoint suggested.
