Strong Start Carries Steady Half Marathon Finish Chelsea Meier completed her half marathon in 1:49:39, an 8:22 min/mile pace, out of a field of 7,223. Meier opened fast, holding between 7:45 and 7:57 min/mile through the first six miles for an elapsed pace near 7:50 by mile 6. The middle miles eased to the 8:259:39 range before she rallied over the closing three miles, dropping back to 7:53 by the finish. That opening six-mile stretch stood out as her fastest sustained running of the day. She finished on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, on a half marathon course whose net elevation gain was cut nearly 50% for 2026, from 384 to 203 feet.
