Nelson's race showed remarkable consistency, opening with a swift first mile at 7:54 and holding pace in the high 7:50s through mile 5. Her strongest mile-plus stretch came early, covering miles 1-5 in just under 40 minutes. A brief dip near mile 11 (8:54) was quickly corrected, with miles 12 and 13 settling back near 8:10-8:15.
