Steady Splits, Fast Finish Isabelle Eskay ran the half marathon in 1:44:49, an 8:00-per-mile pace, placing 531st overall and 124th among women in a field of 7,223. Her mile splits held in a tight band, mostly between 7:52 and 8:20, keeping her cumulative pace essentially flat at 8:00-8:05 through mile 12. That consistency reflects well-controlled pacing across a course that offered little room for drift. The final mile was the standout of the race, a 7:21 close that pulled her cumulative pace down from 8:04 to 8:01 and capped the effort with her fastest running of the half. That kick came after passing the lululemon Power-Up Zone near mile 9.5, and carried her through downtown Boulder's Pearl Street Mall to the finish, at over 5,000 feet of elevation.
