His race built on last year's Boulderthon 10K, where he ran 42:02 this year's half-marathon pace of 6:38/mile was actually faster than his 10K pace of 6:46/mile a year prior. Diorio's pacing showed remarkable consistency through the first 10 miles, holding between 6:33 and 6:54 per mile, before dropping into a strong closing stretch.
