Even Effort Delivers Strong Half Marathon Finish Pedro Chew finished the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon in 1:47:30, an average of 8:12 per mile, placing 643rd overall and 476th among men in a field of 7,223. His race showed real consistency: a strong opening seven miles between 8:00 and 8:12 pace, a slight easing through miles eight and nine, then a rally over the closing miles that brought him back near his early pace. That closing rally stood out most miles 12 and 13 ticked off at 8:08 and 8:03, his fastest sustained mile-plus stretch of the day, as the course carried him toward the finish on the Pearl Street Mall. The dip that preceded it, through miles eight and nine, came around the lululemon Power-Up Zone near mile 9.5. The whole effort played out at over 5,000 feet of Boulder altitude.
