Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Jack Burr #25451 Race: 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles

Strong Start Fuels a Solid Half Jack Burr finished the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon in 1:31:08, placing 149th overall and 125th among men in a field of 7,223. That's a bit slower than his 1:28:51 from the 2025 race, though still a competitive showing. Burr's pace told a clear story: his first six miles were his fastest stretch, averaging 6:40 per mile and building an early cushion. Miles 7 through 10 eased into the 6:567:36 range before he closed strong, dropping back to 6:556:59 over the final two miles. With Boulder's elevation above 5,000 feet as a backdrop, and this year's half course trimmed to a net gain of 203 feet, Burr's steady finish reflects solid pacing discipline through the back half of the race.
