Strong Start Fades Into a Steady Finish Ashleigh Beasley completed the half marathon in 1:45:41, finishing 569th overall and 143rd among women out of a field of 7,223. Her race opened fast and even, holding roughly 7:00 pace through the first five miles her strongest stretch of the day. From there, pace eased steadily, with miles six through nine slipping into the 7:309:30 range before settling into a consistent 8:569:15 pace over the final three miles to the Pearl Street Mall finish. That steady closing stretch suggests good composure after the early pace shift. Given Boulder's elevation above 5,000 feet, the early sub-7:10 miles stand out as a notably strong effort. Future races could look at distributing that early pace slightly further into the middle miles to sustain the opening rhythm longer.
