Steady Pace Gives Way to a Strong Closing Kick Sudha Shrestha finished the half marathon in 2:31:36, an 11:34 min/mile pace. After opening near 12:20 per mile, she settled into a steady rhythm, holding an elapsed pace between 11:40 and 11:44 per mile from mile 5 through mile 11. She then accelerated over the final two miles, covering mile 12 in 10:34 and mile 13 in 10:39 her fastest miles of the race to close strong on the Pearl Street Mall. Around mile 9.5, she passed the lululemon Power-Up Zone en route to an 11:08 split, one of her quicker miles on the course. Racing at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet, her closing surge stood out as the highlight of the day.
