Strong Finish Caps a Steady Half Neil Blanchard covered the Boulderthon half marathon in 1:52:56, an 8:37/mile average. He opened briskly through the first three miles, cutting his cumulative pace to 8:29/mile by mile 3, then settled into the high-8:00s to low-9:00s through the middle miles as his overall pace drifted to 8:42/mile by mile 11. He closed well, dropping a 7:53 mile 12 and finishing his final mile at an 8:08 pace to pull his overall average back down to 8:36/mile.
