Strong Final Miles Cap a Steady Half Marathon Effort Sabrina Cole finished the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon in 3:17:27. Her race opened briskly, clicking off the first two miles in the 12:40s before a stretch through the middle miles slowed considerably, including a lengthy mile three. Rather than fading, Cole rallied over the final 10K, trimming her pace back down and closing especially well miles eleven through thirteen dropped to the 12:1114:11 range, making that closing stretch her fastest sustained running of the day and a strong finish onto the Pearl Street Mall. That final surge is notable given Boulder's elevation, sitting over a mile high, adding difficulty to any late-race pickup. Cole's ability to negotiate a mid-race slowdown and still close faster than she started is a solid foundation to build from in future half marathons.
