Steady Pace Carries Him Through Downtown Boulder Finish Alex Duncan completed the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon in 1:52:14, averaging 8:34 per mile. His race stayed remarkably consistent, with mile splits mostly holding between 8:16 and 8:38 for the first ten miles. Mile 6 stood out as his fastest stretch, clocked at 8:17, part of a strong middle-race stretch from miles 5 through 7. A brief dip came at mile 11 (9:15) before he closed with an 8:28 mile 12 and a strong final mile to the finish. The half marathon course finishes on the historic Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, a fitting capstone to Duncan's evenly paced effort at over 5,000 feet of elevation.
