Steady Pacing Carries Him Through the Back Half Grayson Richey completed the Boulderthon Half Marathon in 2:21:07, holding a consistent elapsed pace in the 10:3010:45 min/mile range for the majority of the race. After a quick opening mile at 10:25, his splits settled into a rhythm, with mile 5 standing out as his fastest full mile at 9:31 a strong surge before the pace evened back out over the closing miles. Richey's race unfolded at altitude, with Boulder sitting above 5,000 feet, and he passed through the lululemon Power-Up Zone near mile 9.5 while holding his rhythm into the final stretch, which wrapped up on the historic Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder.
