Strong Start Fuels a Top-Tier Half Finish Sarah Neumar crossed the line in 1:32:11, placing 169th overall and 29th among women out of the field of 7,223. Her race opened fast and settled into a steady rhythm: after a brisk opening mile at 6:21, her cumulative pace held near 6:306:40 through the middle miles before easing into the low 7:00s by the finish, a controlled fade rather than a collapse. That first mile stands out as the highlight, run more than 40 seconds faster than her overall pace and never matched again in the race. Boulder's elevation, over 5,000 feet, makes that early clip especially notable. With her pacing pattern established this year, a slightly more even split in the middle miles could be a worthwhile target for a future Boulderthon.
