Steady Pace Through the Middle, Strong Kick to the Mall Carla Gomez finished the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon in 2:06:00. She ran her first six miles evenly, settling into the low 9:teens per mile, then eased through miles 7-9 near 10:00 pace before closing well her final two miles both came in at 9:23, her strongest sustained stretch of the back half. Running a half marathon in Boulder, sitting above 5,000 feet, adds its own demand regardless of pace. The 2026 course also cut net elevation gain by nearly half, to 203 feet, a change that likely helped smooth her effort through the middle miles. Her slower patch around mile 9 lined up near the lululemon Power-Up Zone at roughly mile 9.5, a good spot to reset before finishing strong toward the Pearl Street Mall.
