Steady Start Gives Way to a Hard-Fought Finish Robert Beeler completed the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon in 2:32:51, just over a minute slower than his 2:31:43 finish in the 2024 running of the same race. His cumulative pace held near 10:00 per mile through the first third of the course before steadily easing back, settling into the 11:30-11:40 range by the finish. His strongest stretch came early: miles 1 through 4 clicked off in 9:46, 9:54, 10:04, and 10:08, the fastest sustained mile-plus segment of his day. From there, the pace gradually loosened over the back half. Beeler's final miles carried him toward the historic Pearl Street Mall finish in downtown Boulder, passing near the redesigned course's Power-Up Zone around mile 9.5 en route to the close all at over 5,000 feet of altitude.
