Steady Early Pace Holds Through a Tough Back Stretch Yaquelin Avitia Orozco finished the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon in 2:40:49. Her opening five miles ran between 10:58 and 11:31 per mile, keeping her cumulative pace tight around 11:24. Miles 6 through 9 held a similar rhythm near 11:20-12:34, before mile 10 through 11 slowed to 13:41 and 16:11, the toughest stretch of her race. She rallied over the final two miles, closing in 12:25 and 12:41 per mile. Boulder's elevation, over 5,000 feet, sits behind every finish here. Avitia Orozco's half marathon route included the stretch out past Boulder Reservoir before finishing on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, a fitting cap to a race that stayed largely consistent apart from one slower middle stretch.
