Her opening mile was her quickest at 17:12, and she closed with another strong effort, covering the final mile in 17:48 one of her fastest stretches of the day. Pace held in a tight band across the middle miles, generally between 17:32 and 19:23, showing a consistent effort through the bulk of the course. The half marathon finishes on the historic Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, a fitting finish line after 13.1 miles that started at over 5,000 feet of elevation. Ngoga's ability to close with one of her strongest miles suggests good control of effort late in the race, a pattern worth building on for future starts.
