Fast Start, Determined Finish Steven Bigham completed the half marathon in 3:03:24, an overall pace of 14:00 per mile. He opened briskly, covering the first mile in 10:19 and holding close to 11-minute pace through mile five. The middle miles cost him rhythm mile eight came in at 18:05 before he steadied again, closing with back-to-back miles of 16:08 and 14:52 to finish with composure. That fastest stretch came early: his first three miles, run at a 10:39 pace, were the quickest sustained running of his day. Notably, his rebound began right around the lululemon Power-Up Zone near mile 9.5, where his mile time dropped from 18:05 to 14:27 a strong response through Boulder's thin air above 5,000 feet.
