Steady Double-Digit Miles Carry a Strong Half Marathon Effort Nathalie Gomez completed the Boulderthon Half Marathon in 2:33:59, an 11:45 min/mile pace, finishing on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder. Gomez ran a remarkably even race through the first ten miles, holding her elapsed pace in a tight band between 11:21 and 11:28 min/mile a strong display of pacing discipline over two-thirds of the course. The final 5K brought some natural give-back, with mile 11 slipping to 13:27 before she settled into the 12:30s to close things out. That opening stretch, sustained at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet, stands as the clear highlight of her race. Going forward, she might look at ways to carry that early rhythm a bit further into the closing miles.
