Miles 1-4 formed his standout stretch, covered in roughly 29:39, well under his overall average. The race unfolded as a gradual fade from a fast start, with per-mile splits climbing from the 7:15-7:46 range early on to the 8:11-8:57 window by mid-race, before leveling out again over the closing miles. Boulder's elevation, sitting above 5,000 feet, adds context to that early pace and the slight settling that followed.
