Steady Climb from a Slow Start to a Strong Finish Ian Jacobson finished the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon in 1:51:00, an 8:28 min/mile pace. A rough third mile 15:33, likely a pause or course snag pushed his early cumulative pace to 11:09, but he answered with a 6:54 fourth mile that pulled things right back in line. From there, Jacobson locked into a tight band between 8:30 and 9:20 per mile, gradually trimming his overall pace down to that 8:28 finish, with his final competitive mile clocking 7:33, his fastest full mile of the day. Racing through Boulder, sitting above 5,000 feet elevation, Jacobson closed strong on the historic Pearl Street Mall.
