Steady Pacing Carries Him Through the Back Half Joshua Um completed the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon in 2:25:46, holding a consistent pace across the field of 7,223 entrants. His mile splits stayed tightly banded between 10:37 and 11:43 for the entire distance, showing little variation in effort from start to finish. His strongest stretch came between miles 4 and 5, where he clocked a 10:37 mile, his fastest of the race, before settling back into his rhythm through the middle miles. Um closed with a 10:47 final mile, matching his early pace and finishing evenly across a course that starts and ends in downtown Boulder, a city sitting above 5,000 feet of elevation. That evenness across 13.1 miles reflects a well-managed effort from start to the Pearl Street Mall finish.
