Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Micah Deangelo #22430 Race: 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles

Fast Start Fuels Top-2% Finish at Altitude Micah Deangelo crossed in 1:28:45, placing 123rd overall and 105th among men in a field of 7,223 finishers. He opened with a strong first six miles, holding 6:166:35 pace, before easing through the middle miles into the 6:547:46 range. He closed with a strong final mile, dropping to 6:32 his fastest split since mile six to finish with authority. The race's back half wound through Boulder County backroads past the reservoir before returning to the Pearl Street Mall for the finish, all above 5,000 feet of elevation. Given that altitude, holding sub-6:50 pace across the opening third and rallying in the final mile reflects strong pacing execution.
