Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Arya Shuman #21091 Race: 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles

Big Drop in Time, Strong Move to the Finish Arya Shuman crossed in 1:39:39, placing 340th overall and 274th among men in a field of 7,223 comfortably inside the top 10 percent. That mark is more than eight minutes faster than his 2025 half marathon finish of 1:47:43, a clear step forward in both pace and placing. The race unfolded evenly through the first six miles, holding between 7:20 and 7:33 per mile, with mile four his fastest of the day at 7:20. A modest dip through miles seven to nine gave way to a strong closing sequence, dropping back to 7:29 over the final mile into downtown Boulder. That steadiness came on a half marathon course reshaped for 2026, with net elevation gain cut nearly 50 percent to 203 feet a notable context given Boulder's mile-high altitude.
