Strong Start Fades Late but Podium Finish Holds Joseph Jardeleza finished the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon in 1:20:12, placing 39th overall and 33rd among men in a field of 7,223, with a runner-up finish in the M20-24 division. That's a step back from his 2025 Boulderthon half, where he ran 1:16:48 and placed 18th overall. This year's race started fast the first six miles clicked by between 5:34 and 5:52 per mile, holding him inside the top 30 overall before a stretch from miles 7 through 10 slowed to the 6:17-7:04 range. He steadied over the final miles, closing in the 6:04-6:21 range to lock down the age-group runner-up spot. The 2026 half marathon course carried nearly 50% less elevation gain than in prior years, a notable factor given Boulder's altitude above 5,000 feet.
