Strong Closing Miles Power a Top-10% Finish Hadley Koeman crossed the line in 1:42:08, placing 425th overall and 86th among women in a field of 7,223 a top-10% finish. Her race unfolded in two acts: a steady opening 7:40s pace through the first six miles, a mid-race dip to 8:14 by mile eight, then a determined rally over the final two miles, clocking 7:28 and 7:30 to close out the strongest miles of her race and push her final overall standing well ahead of where she sat at mile eleven. That late surge came as the course approached downtown Boulder's Pearl Street Mall finish, all completed at altitude above 5,000 feet. Koeman's ability to negative-split the back half after a tougher middle stretch speaks well to her pacing discipline a pattern worth leaning into further should she look to smooth out the mid-race dip next time.
