Strong Opening Miles Anchor a Steady Half Marathon Finish Ashley Hall finished the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon in 2:08:56. She went out briskly, covering the first mile in 8:57 and holding 9:009:04 pace through mile six, reaching the 10K mark in 54:25. From there, splits eased into the 10:0011:00 range, with mile 10 as the slowest at 11:04, before a small rally brought miles 12 and 13 back down toward 10:00 pace to close out the race. The opening 10K stands as the standout stretch, run more than a half-minute per mile faster than the closing miles. Boulder's elevation, over 5,000 feet, adds context to that early pace. With another half marathon on the books, Hall might consider working on evening out effort across the back half to preserve more of that early speed.
