Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Craig Cunningham #21430 Race: 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles

Strong Start Fuels Top Age-Group Finish Craig Cunningham finished the Half Marathon in 1:29:46, placing 136th overall and 115th among men in a field of 7,223, and finished third in the M50-54 division. That result reflects a consistently strong pace across the 13.1 miles, closing at 6:51 per mile. Cunningham went out fast, covering the opening mile in 6:10, his quickest of the race, and held sub-6:30 pace through the first four miles. Effort eased gradually through the middle miles, with mile eight ticking to 7:33, before he steadied over the closing miles to finish in 7:13 pace over the final mile. That overall pace stands out given Boulder's elevation of over 5,000 feet, a notable backdrop for a race that finishes on the historic Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder.
