The standout stretch came from miles 10 through 13, where Sherrier clicked off four consecutive miles between 7:26 and 7:35 his fastest sustained running of the day and a sharp turnaround from the 9:30-10:00 pace that defined his early miles. That closing kick pulled his overall elapsed pace down nearly a full minute per mile from where it stood at the midpoint, a strong finish on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder.
