Even Pacing Down the Stretch Powers a Strong Half Marathon Close Amelia Imada finished the half marathon in 2:47:56, an average pace of 12:49 per mile. Her quickest stretch came right out of the gate: miles 12 clicked off in 22:51, an 11:25 per-mile pace, the fastest sustained running of her race. From there, her cumulative pace eased into the 12:0013:00 range and held remarkably consistent over the closing miles, with splits of 12:33, 12:58 and 12:27 across miles 11 through 13 a strong final push after a tougher patch through the middle of the course. Boulder's elevation, sitting above 5,000 feet, adds context to the steady effort she sustained across the full 13.1 miles.
