Her opening mile was her fastest of the race at 12:23, and pace settled gradually through the middle miles before easing further over the back half. Miles 6 through 9 brought the softest stretch, with per-mile splits climbing into the high teens, before a modest rebound in the final miles, including a 16:24 closing mile. The race finished on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, a course capped by Boulder's elevation above 5,000 feet. A pacing plan built around sustaining that early-mile rhythm for longer could offer a smoother path through the middle miles next time out.
