Steady Pace Powers a Strong Half Marathon Finish Aram Nercessian completed the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon in 1:47:28, an 8:12 min/mile pace, finishing 639th overall and 472nd among men in a field of 7,223. Nercessian's opening mile clocked 8:06, and he settled into a rhythm between 7:55 and 8:10 through mile seven, keeping his cumulative pace under 8:00 min/mile for much of the race. Miles two through four were his strongest stretch, holding between 7:45 and 7:57 as his cumulative pace dipped to a race-best 7:56 min/mile. A slower mile 11 split of 8:55 nudged his overall pace up slightly, but he closed with an 8:18 mile twelve before finishing strong. That final surge carried him onto the Pearl Street Mall, the traditional finish line for every Boulderthon distance in downtown Boulder, sitting above 5,000 feet of elevation.
