Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Will Crowley #26324 Race: 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles

Strong Finishing Kick Fuels a Steady Half Marathon Will Crowley completed the half marathon in 1:49:12, an average of 8:20 per mile. His race unfolded in two distinct phases: a consistent opening 10K near 8:158:25 pace, a softer middle stretch through miles 710 where splits eased into the high 8:40s, then a decisive turnaround over the final two miles. Miles 12 and 13 were his fastest of the race, dropping to 7:57 and 7:35, showing a well-timed surge to close things out. That last surge came as the course made its way into downtown Boulder, finishing on the historic Pearl Street Mall a fitting stage for his strongest running of the day. Given Boulder's elevation above 5,000 feet, holding sub-8:00 pace late in the race stands out as the highlight of his effort.
