Strong Late Surge Powers a Steady Half Marathon Fernando Cabral Felix ran 1:41:17 in the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon, finishing at a 7:43 min/mile pace. That's off his 1:31:05 from 2025, when he ran 6:57 min/mile pace. This year's race opened briskly through 7:50 min/mile pace by mile four, dipped through a slower fifth mile, then steadied through the middle miles before he found his best form late. Miles 11 through 13 were his strongest stretch, clicking off in 6:51, 6:28, and 6:44, pulling his overall pace back down to 7:43 min/mile by the finish. That closing three-mile push came in the same stretch as the lululemon Power-Up Zone near mile 9.5 of the half, a fitting spot for the pace to turn over. Given Boulder's elevation above 5,000 feet, finishing strong on the Pearl Street Mall after that late acceleration is a solid marker to build from.
