Strong Start Carries Young Runner to a Top-Tier Finish Riley Lestina crossed the line in 1:33:38, good for 195th overall and 160th among men in a field of 7,223 at the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon. That result placed him in the top 10% of the field, a strong showing for a 16-year-old racing in Boulder's thin air above 5,000 feet. Lestina's opening six miles were his best sustained stretch, clicking off between 6:43 and 6:57 each mile and building a cushion through the race's first half. Miles 7 through 11 eased into the 7:137:43 range as the pace settled, before he tightened back up over the final two miles, closing in 7:12 and 7:14. That final surge, on a half-marathon course trimmed to just 203 feet of net elevation gain this year, capped a well-paced, evenly managed run from start to finish on the Pearl Street Mall.
