Strong Start Fuels a Steady Half Marathon Finish Maxfield Maroney covered the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon in 2:52:00. Her race opened fast, clicking off the first three miles in roughly 10:54 pace, the quickest stretch of her day. Miles four and five brought a dip in pace, but she settled into a consistent rhythm through the middle miles, holding mostly 12:4413:40 pace from mile six through ten. A slower eleventh mile was followed by a solid closing kick, finishing her final two miles in 13:14 and 12:51. Boulder sits above 5,000 feet, a notable backdrop for any half marathon effort. Maroney's race took her out past Boulder Reservoir and along Boulder County backroads before finishing on the historic Pearl Street Mall a fitting finish line in a city recognized by National Geographic as America's Happiest City.
