Strong Finishing Kick Seals a Top-Tier Half Josef Jaramillo crossed the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon finish line in 1:34:08, an average pace of 7:11 per mile, placing 205th overall and 168th among men out of the field of 7,223. His pacing stayed remarkably even through the race, with mile splits mostly hovering between 6:55 and 7:26, before he closed with his fastest mile of the day, a 6:41 in the final mile, dropping his overall pace steadily as he approached the Pearl Street Mall finish. Jaramillo passed through mile 9 in 7:17, not far from where the half marathon's lululemon Power-Up Zone sits near mile 9.5, holding form well before his late surge. Given how strong that closing mile was, he might consider working on sustaining that pace over the final 5K next time out.
