Strong Finishing Kick Seals a Steady Half Wyatt Schenker completed the half marathon in 1:38:43, averaging 7:32 per mile. His pace held remarkably steady through the middle miles, hovering between 7:29 and 7:38 from mile 4 through mile 11, showing consistent effort across the bulk of the course. The final two miles stood out as his strongest stretch, with Schenker clocking 7:12 and 7:10 his fastest miles of the race to close things out with a surge rather than fade. That kind of finish, especially at Boulder's altitude above 5,000 feet, reflects well-managed effort. He crossed the finish on the Pearl Street Mall having saved his best running for last, a pattern worth building on in future races.
