Strong Early Pace Holds Firm Through the Back Half David Park finished the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon in 1:46:25, averaging 8:07 per mile. Park's opening miles were his sharpest, clicking through the first four in the 7:39-7:48 range and settling into a 7:44 pace by mile 6. The middle miles brought a gradual fade, with mile 8 through 11 slipping into the 8:25-8:50 range, before he rallied over the final two miles, closing in 8:24 and 8:11 to bring his cumulative pace back down to 8:06. That first mile, at 7:43, stood as his fastest stretch of the race. Given Boulder's elevation above 5,000 feet, the early tempo made for a well-managed effort overall.
